This is the second part of my interview with Skellie. We continue talking about how freelancers can use their blogs to find clients. If you missed it, the first part of the interview is here.
5. Trust is an essential element for a prospect to hire a freelancer. How can a freelancer’s blog help build trust?
Trust is absolutely critical. The first part of building trust is providing content that is useful and good quality. The second part is revealing tidbits of personal information that help readers relate to you. Tell stories, mention your hobbies outside of work, talk about your family and friends. A good ratio to follow is 10% “get to know” me, 90% valuable industry content.
